A swim at levante sestri

The inspiration for this custom swimwear was the classic mythology of the seaside siren. Pintuck pleating was integrated into the design to mimic the lines on the shell of the Patinopecten Caurinus (Weathervane Scallop), and emphasizes the curvature of the overall silhouette. The elastic strap was also used as a strategic way to incorporate design lines within the negative space while joining the top and bottom and creating the illusion of a two piece.
